Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has praised the club’s manager Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy in an interview with the Spurs’ Official Website, soon after signing a new five year deal at the club.

Rose has been out with a hamstring injury since August but could be in line to make an appearance during the trip to Middlesbrough this weekend.

And upon signing the new deal, the England international told the club’s Official Website: “It’s only been the last three or four years where I’ve felt more settled, more part of the club and part of the team and I’m loads happier.

“The manager has had a lot to do with that and so has the chairman, to be fair.”

Rose joined Spurs from Leeds United as a 17-year-old and has gone on to make 126 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals – his most famous coming 10 minutes into his debut with a superb volley against North London rivals Arsenal back in 2010.

And in recent years the 26-year-old has gone from strength to strength as he’s became a regular for club and country as well as helping Tottenham reach their highest ever Premier League finish of third last season.

Rose also feels the playing environment at White Hart Lane is one that will hopefully breed success as the club look to fight on four fronts this season with the league, Champions League and both domestic cups to contend with.

“It helps when you are playing with 11 of your friends and under a great manager as well and the environment we train in is top-class,” he continued.

“It’s just a pain I’m injured at the moment. The quicker I can get back on the pitch and contribute to the team, the better.”
