Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose was linked away from the club this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur full back Danny Rose has told The Mirror that some rumours about him this summer weren’t true, and he’s looking to set the record straight in the future.
Spurs saw Rose pick up form towards the end of last season, looking somewhere closer to the Rose of the past, but his role at the club was still up for debate.
The 29-year-old was effectively put up for sale by Spurs this summer, as he was left out of the pre-season trip to the Far East in order to pursue other opportunities.
Rose ended up being recalled for the Audi Cup in Germany, and has now started the season as Tottenham’s first-choice left back.
Ben Davies and new signing Ryan Sessegnon seemingly have a wait on their hands as Rose re-establishes himself under Pochettino, but his future will still be discussed.
Rose is out of contract in 2021, meaning he has a couple of years left with the club, but his long-term replacement already appears to have been signed in Sessegnon.
Now, Rose has suggested that some rumours this summer, mostly about his relationship with the club, weren’t true at all, though it’s unclear exactly which rumours he’s referring to.

Rose added that he wants to have his say on the situation in the future and set the record straight, but he’s very happy now and merely putting those false rumours behind him.
“It wasn’t tough, it is what it is,” said Rose. “Everything that was publicised in the summer was not entirely true and I think in the future I will have my say on everything that happened but I don’t want to focus on negativity at the minute.”
“I can’t lie, I am very happy, but I just want to say that everything that was written in the summer wasn’t entirely true,” he added.
