Danny Rose has insisted that he has an excellent relationship with Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Rose has endured a turbulent few months at Wembley, candidly discussing his future in the summer and hitting the headlines when he was left out of the Spurs side that faced Arsenal in the recent North London derby.

Speculation that there was some kind of problem between himself and Pochettino appeared to start up again on Wednesday night after his reaction to being substituted during Spurs’ Champions League clash with APOEL Nicosia. But Rose has attempted to quash any talk of a rift by insisting that he and Pochettino have a great relationship.

“There is no issue, there never will be an issue.
“People need to stop this, because it’s not welcomed.”
The rumours will certainly not be helpful for Tottenham if there is no problem between Pochettino and Rose as the speculation may disrupt the harmony as they are constantly having to respond to the suggestion that there is a rift.
But those who are not convinced by Rose’s comments may well feel that there is often no smoke without fire, and thus, they may perhaps need to see at least one transfer window pass without incident and minimal speculation surrounding Rose’s future before they truly start to believe that the left-back and Pochettino are definitely on the same page.
