Would Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge be a good signing for West Ham United in the summer transfer window?

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Danny Murphy has suggested in The London Evening Standard that Daniel Sturridge could join West Ham United from Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The former Liverpool man believes that if West Ham are able to ship out Andy Carroll in the summer, then the London outfit would be able to sign Sturridge.

“Sturridge will not play regularly for Liverpool to get the fitness and consistency he needs, so I believe it is in his best interests if he leaves,” Murphy wrote in The London Evening Standard.
“But he is on big money at Anfield — about £140,000 a week — and I can see West Ham signing him only if Andy Carroll leaves the club.”
Good or bad?
Carroll has struggled with injury problems throughout his time at West Ham, and it should not come as a surprise if the Hammers decide to part company with the England international striker.
However, would it be wise of the Premier League club to sign Sturridge given the Liverpool striker’s own injury record?
The 27-year-old former Manchester City and Chelsea striker has scored one goal in two Premier League starts for the Reds so far this season.
Carroll, 28, has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 15 league starts for West Ham so far this campaign.
