Tottenham Hotspur host Liverpool at Wembley in the first game following the international break.
The Reds travel to Wembley looking to continue their flawless start to the new Premier League season, while Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be hoping to bounce back having seen their own spotless start spoiled by Watford in their final game before the international break.
With Spurs boasting the home advantage, it is an incredibly tough call to try and separate the two teams. Murphy struggled to pick out a winner, but did insist that it is more important for Tottenham to get a positive result given the blemish on their record from their visit to Vicarage Road.
“It’s a difficult one with that many quality players,” he told Sky Sports (12/09; 20:37). “I don’t think Liverpool will lose the game. I think they might, at the beginning, let Tottenham come at them a little bit, give them a bit of respect, which is right because Tottenham’s home record was great last year. And I think they’ll hit them on the break with the counter. They’ve got so many players that do that well.
“I don’t see Liverpool losing. I think it’s a bigger game for Tottenham after the loss at Watford than it is for Liverpool.”
What will certainly give Tottenham plenty of confidence is the result that they secured when the two teams met at the same ground last year. Pochettino’s men dominated and ran out 4-1 winners at Wembley, and he will be urging his side to show the same confidence to blow their opponents away.
But this appears to be a different Reds side this time around, and Klopp will be hoping that they can lay a real marker down by taking a positive result back to Merseyside with them.
