The Frenchman joined Tottenham Hotspur from Lyon this summer.
Danny Murphy suggested that Tottenham fans will love new signing Tanguy Ndombele, when speaking exclusively to BBC Sport.
Spurs signed the 22-year-old from Lyon in June for a club record fee thought to be worth in excess of £62 million, according to the BBC.
Tottenham also ended up signing Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon on deadline day, as well as Jack Clarke earlier this summer, before loaning him back to Leeds United for the season.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are expected to make a real push for the Premier League title this season, and the addition of Ndombele will surely help them achieve their goals.
Murphy praised the France international, when speaking exclusively to BBC Sport, suggesting that he is excited to see what role he plays for Spurs:
“It is hard not knowing what is happening with Eriksen, but I have seen quite a bit of Ndombele and the fans are going to love him. It will be interesting to see what role they give him, because he has got defensive qualities but he is also terrific going forwards.”
Ndombele might take time to adjust to the ferocious pace and intensity of the Premier League, but he does seem to have all of the attributes required to be a hit in England.
Tottenham fans must be patient with the midfielder, but he will surely go on to become a real star in the Premier League.
