Former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy said on the Kick Off show on talkSPORT on Monday evening (broadcast from 7pm, August 8, 2016) that Andre Ayew is a good signing for West Ham United.
Ayew joined West Ham from Premier League rivals Swansea City on a three-year contract, with an additional two-year option, on Monday.
As announced on the Hammers’ official website, the London outfit had to pay the Swans a club-record transfer fee of £20.5 million.
Former Tottenham and Liverpool midfielder Murphy believes that the 26-year-old attacker will prove to be a good signing for West Ham.

“Like him, good footballer, clever, finds space well, takes up good positions, good manipulator of the ball, can score a goal, so it’s a clever signing,” said Murphy on the Kick Off show on talkSPORT on Monday evening (broadcast from 7pm, August 8, 2016) about Ayew. “£20m in today’s market is nothing, is it?”

Ayew is a very versatile footballer who can play as a striker, winger or attacking midfielder.
The Ghana international enjoyed a good 2015-16 Premier League campaign for Swansea, having joined the Welsh outfit on a free transfer in the summer of 2015.
The former Marseille star scored 12 goals and created 23 chances in 34 Premier League appearances for Swansea last season.
West Ham will kick off their 2016-17 Premier League campaign with an away game against Chelsea next Monday.
