Liverpool’s highly-rated attacker Sadio Mane will be looking to hit 20+ goals again this season.

BBC Sport pundit Danny Murphy has claimed that ‘people don’t think’ of Liverpool’s Sadio Mane as being a ‘provider’ after he helped his side to a 2-1 win against Southampton on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side scored goals on either side of the break to secure all three points on the road, with Mane opening the scoring with a brilliant curling effort before he turned provider for Roberto Firmino.
It has been a pretty good week for the Anfield faithful because after winning the Super Cup in midweek, they have now maintained their 100% in the Premier League.
Speaking to Match of the Day on BBC One (17/08/2019 11:15 pm), Murphy paid special praise to Mane, as he touched upon what he does beyond scoring a goal.
“Mane scored 20 goals in 2019, more goals than anyone else in the Liverpool side,” Murphy told MOTD. “And he’s becoming more than just a goalscorer. He’s got that great pace to run in behind as we know, which stretches teams and helps Liverpool play on the counter.
“But look at that for a [dinked through] pass [to Mo Salah]. He’s added this to his game. People don’t think of Mane as being a provider, but his assist numbers are good. And on his weak foot. Doesn’t mind using that [to cross the ball from the left flank]. Perfect ball.”

Despite being involved in a summer tournament, and with it, having little time off, Mane just seems to be getting better and better.
He was the joint top-scorer in England’s top-flight last season and many will be backing him to be up there in the scoring charts at the end of the season.
Nonetheless, Mane, who signed from Southampton for £34 million in 2016 [BBC Sport], piled more misery on his former club, who have suffered back-to-back defeats.
