Che Adams will be playing Premier League football soon after swapping Birmingham City for Southampton for £15m.

Southampton have got their man.
A converted winger who plundered 22 goals for Birmingham City in a breakthrough 2018/19 campaign, it seemed only a matter of time before Che Adams left St Andrews for the topflight. But instead of Tottenham, Everton or Burnley, the 22-year-old has joined Southampton for what could be bargain £15 million (The Telegraph).
Saints coach Ralph Hasenhuttl has a remarkable track record when it comes to turning young talent into established, top level stars and, blessed with pace, power and clinical finishing, Adams could be the prolific goalscorer Southampton have needed since the days of Graziano Pelle and Sadio Mane.

“I love him, he’s a super talent. The goals he’s scored in a struggling team shows how good he is,” former Tottenham midfielder Danny Murphy told talkSPORT (1 July, 1pm), claiming that Adams should have gone for closer to £25 million in today’s market.
“I’d be amazed if he costs £15 million. (He should go for) more than £20 million. He’s a good striker and he looks hungry. Add another £10 on that.”
Adams has made a habit of defying expectations, rising from League One to the Premier League while transforming himself from a quick-footed winger into a ravenous goalscoring machine.
And if he takes to the top flight like a duck to water, that £15 million price-tag will look very, very well spent.
