Danny Murphy has warned Jurgen Klopp about signing Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves because he ‘isn’t the powerhouse Liverpool need’.
The former Liverpool player acknowledged that Ruben Neves is a ‘really technically-gifted’ player, but not worth pushing for during the summer transfer window.
This comes after rumours emerged that the Reds have decided to step back in their long-term pursuit of England’s rising teenager, Jude Bellingham.

It’s a body blow for the Merseyside club, but it means that, rather than that one big marquee signing coming in during the summer transfer window, a fair few faces will arrive.
From Declan Rice to Matheus Nunes, names left right and centre are being mentioned, but Ruben Neves was dismissed by Murphy, as he told talkSPORT.
“I am not sure he is athletic enough,” said Murphy. “He’s a great player. A really technically-gifted player. But I am not sure he is the powerhouse that Liverpool needs.”

NEVES DESERVES A STEP UP
The Wolves captain has been at Molineux since their days in the Championship and it’s high time he went on to bigger and better things.
Whilst the Midlands side are at risk of dropping into England’s second tier again, more than likely, they will survive.
It will be interesting to see if anyone comes in to try to sign the long-range goals specialist, who is known for his wonder strikes, because he is worthy of playing for a team in Europe.
