Danny Murphy suggests Danny Rose does care about Tottenham Hotspur.

Danny Murphy has told The Evening Standard that he believes Danny Rose’s midweek comments indicate that he does not plan on leaving Tottenham Hotspur.
Rose was recalled to Mauricio Pochettino’s first XI on Tuesday as Spurs beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 in Germany to seal top spot in their Champions League group.
Speaking to The Times afterwards, the left-back revealed that he was “fuming” over Pochettino’s decision to leave him out of last weekend’s North London derby defeat at Arsenal.

The 28-year-old, who has only started four Spurs games since January due to injury, cast doubt on his Tottenham future during the summer with an explosive interview in which he criticised the club’s lack of transfer activity at the time.
But former Lilywhites midfielder Murphy feels that Rose proved his commitment to the North London club with his comments about being left out of the Arsenal game.
“I like the honesty that Rose showed when he said he was fuming not to be playing last weekend. If he did want a move that much and he did not care about Tottenham, then he would not mind,” he said to The Evening Standard.

“At least he wants to play and is not sulking on the bench, thinking, ‘I am going to be leaving here in the summer anyway’. He looks determined to stay, fight and get on with it.”
Rose is Tottenham’s best left-back and he will be a huge boost to Pochettino if he can regain his fitness and form over the long term, if of course Murphy is right and he does want to stay in the long term.
