Glasgow Rangers reportedly want to bring Steven Gerrard to Ibrox and replace Graeme Murty as the Gers manager.

According to BBC Sport, Gerrard is a managerial target for Rangers, with Sky Sports reporting that the former Liverpool midfielder will continue talks with the Gers this week.
Murphy played with Gerrard at Liverpool from 1997 until 2004, and the former Tottenham Hotspur and England international midfielder spoke to the 37-year-old this weekend.
The 41-year-old has revealed how the former Los Angeles Galaxy feels about the Rangers managerial job, and has also given his take on the situation.

Murphy said about Gerrard on the Jim White show on talkSPORT on Monday morning (10:13am, April 30, 2018): “He was excited, but without the confirmation of what it actually really entailed.”
“I don’t think he’s going to put himself in a position where he goes into a job with his hands tied in terms of the resources he has got to compete with Brendan,” added Murphy.

Gamble appointment?
Gerrard was a brilliant football, and the former Liverpool midfielder is doing well as the manager of the club’s Under-18 side.
However, appointing the former Liverpool midfielder would be a gamble for Rangers, but one that could pay off big time if he is given funds to invest in the squad in the summer transfer window.
