Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy is expecting big things from Sadio Mane this season.

Speaking to the BBC, former Liverpool star Danny Murphy has backed Sadio Mane to shine at Anfield during the current campaign.
Liverpool smashed their club record fee to secure the services of Mane from Southampton for around £34 million, and the signing of the Senegalese star has been seen as a really positive piece of business from the Reds despite the huge fee involved.
The initial signs are looking good for Liverpool as Mane has made a stunning start to life at Anfield and he will surely prove to be pivotal if the Premier League side are to mount a genuine challenge for a top-four finish during the current campaign.

The Liverpool fans have already taken a liking to Mane and now former Reds’ midfielder Danny Murphy has also gone on to hail the 24-year-old.
Murphy has been left impressed by what he has seen of Mane so far and believes that the former Red Bull Salzburg man could well turn into a ‘superstar’ at Anfield this season.
Murphy told the BBC, “I’m really excited by Mane. I think, being a Liverpool supporter, he gives them something different and he showed in the first game at Arsenal that he’s not going to be scared of the pressure of playing for Liverpool.

“That’s always the worry when you go to a big club, can you cope with the pressure that’s on you to perform and he doesn’t look like that type. Even at Tottenham at the weekend he was fantastic and I think he could be a superstar for Liverpool this season.”
Mane has arguably been one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League over the course of the last two seasons and he could well scale new heights at Liverpool during the next few years.
