The winger spent this past season on loan with Leeds United.
Danny Mills was a guest on talkSPORT today, and suggested that Leeds will not pay £15 million for Jack Harrison, who has been at Elland Road on loan from Manchester City this season.
The 22-year-old joined Leeds on loan last summer, but he was hardly prolific, racking up just four goals and four assists in 42 appearances in all competitions for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
The Whites eventually missed out on automatic promotion, leading to calls for Bielsa to significantly strengthen his ranks at Elland Road before the start of next season.
The Sun claims that the west Yorkshire outfit want to make Harrison’s move a permanent one this summer, but they will have to pay at least £15 million in order to do just that.
Mills, though, suggested that Leeds will not pay anything like £15 million for the Manchester City winger, when speaking during a guest appearance on talkSPORT today:
“The trouble is, you get quoted for players like Jack Harrison from Man City who’s on loan, you know, £15 million, Leeds are not gonna pay that.”
Leeds will undoubtedly have to strengthen this summer, if they are to earn promotion next term, but £15 million for Harrison does seem to be rather extortionate.
Maybe another loan deal might be a better outcome for all parties concerned.
