Danny Mills suggested on Sky Sports News on Wednesday evening (8:10pm, August 7, 2019) that the signing of Paulo Dybala could be a problem for Tottenham Hotspur.

According to The Independent, Tottenham are interested in signing Dybala from Juventus in the summer transfer window.

Former Manchester City right-back Mills has given his take on the speculation, and while he has praised the Argentina international attacker, he believes that Spurs landing the 25-year-old would mean that key Tottenham players will want more salary.

Mills said about Dybala on Sky Sports News on Wednesday evening (8:10pm, August 7, 2019): “I think he is an outstanding player, but I think it comes down to wages. If Tottenham are going to bring him in and pay him even if it is £250,000 per week, it smashes their wage structure.

“Within 10 minutes, you have got Harry Kane knocking on the owner’s door, ‘Where’s my money? I want the same’. Dele Alli goes in, Christian Eriksen then goes in on top of that, if he is still there.

“All these players, and it just goes on and on, and all of a sudden you find yourself in a very difficult position.”

Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?

Dybala, who can operate as a forward or as an attacking midfielder, is a very good player who has been a success at Juventus.

Tottenham do need quality attacking players this summer in order to challenge for the Premier League title this season, and the former Palermo star does fit the bill.
