Leeds United are going strong in the Championship at the moment.
Danny Mills has told Sky Sports that Leeds United’s squad is thin and that worries him.
Former England international right-back Mills, who played for Leeds from 1999 until 2004, has also commented on the Whites’ injury problems.
The West Yorkshire outfit have had a lot of injury issues already this season, with goalkeeper Jamal Blackman returning to Chelsea from his loan spell at Elland Road, Liam Cooper on the sidelines at the moment, and Adam Forshaw, Stuart Dallas, Pontus Jansson and Pablo Hernandez all missing games.
Mills told Sky Sports: “I still think that their squad is a little bit thin, and that does worry me. They had a lot of injury problems, and that seems to be mounting all the time.”
Going strong
Despite the mounting injury problems, Leeds are going strong in the Championship and could well end up in the top two.
Head coach Marcelo Bielsa does need to make a couple of signings in the January transfer window, especially a goalkeeper, in order to boost his side’s chances of winning automatic promotion to the PremierLeague.
The Whites are second in the Championship table at the moment with 39 points from 20 matches, just a point behind leaders Norwich City.
Leeds will take on Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
