TalkSport pundit Danny Mills has admitted that he can’t see any motivation behind Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino joining Juventus as he stated that there are ‘better places to go’.

Italian outlet TuttomercatoWeb have claimed that managerless Juventus discussed Pochettino in a meeting as they willing to wait before the Argentine makes a decision on his future.

It is said regardless of what happens in the Champions League final, the Serie A side think that Pochettino will tender his resignation at the North London outfit because he has taken them as far as he possibly could.

Speaking to Drivetime on TalkSport (22/05/2019 at 5:40 pm), former England defender Mills was asked about the rumours about Pochettino and Juve.

On what Pochettino’s motivation is in going to Juventus: “I am not sure there is,” Mills told TalkSport. “Turin’s a lovely place, but it’s quite industrial. There are better places to go if he fancies a little bit of retirement.

“I don’t see him leaving Tottenham this season. Even if they were to win the Champions League and he says ‘okay, I have taken them as far as I can go’. I still think he believes he can improve this team next season.”

As of now, Pochettino will be preparing his players for the Champions League final which takes place in Spain’s capital of Madrid on June 1st.

An English team will walk away with the European Cup this season because the team that will be looking to stop Spurs on the night is Liverpool.

Despite missing out on the Premier League title, Jurgen Klopp’s side go into the final on the back of a good run of form and with only one defeat to their name in the league.
