Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham United side are said to be keen to bring Danny Ings to the London Stadium.

Danny Ings of Liverpool warms up prior to the Premier League match between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park on April 7, 2018 in Liverpool, England.

Danny Ings would be foolish to pick West Ham United, if he is moving away from Liverpool for first-team football.

According to the Guardian, West Ham are interested in Ings – who is keen to move away from Liverpool.

Ings has reportedly grown frustrated from sitting on Liverpool’s substitutes’ bench for too long, and now wants a fresh start.

However, he would be ill-advised to move to West Ham, as Manuel Pellegrini’s attacking options already look good.

Pellegrini already has Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic in his squad, who are better strikers than Ings.

Hernandez may not have started regularly under David Moyes, but there is a feeling he could feature often with Pellegrini in charge.

Arnautovic, meanwhile, was West Ham’s best player last season and is comfortably their biggest attacking weapon.

And although Ings would add depth to West Ham’s attacking options, there is no obvious pathway for him to break into the starting line-up.

As a result, Ings would be better off picking another one of his multiple options to join, as his chances of football elsewhere look greater than they would be at West Ham.
