The Liverpool forward has been linked with West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace to name a few.

As reported by the Telegraph, West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew is keen to bring Danny Ings to The Hawthorns in January, but the Liverpool striker is in high demand his eventual move could determine more than one club’s fate in the battle to avoid relegation.

Earlier this month, the Guardian claimed Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Stoke City were also tracking the 25-year-old, and all of those clubs have one thing in common – they are scrapping at the wrong end of the table.

In short, wherever Ings ends up, his decision could inadvertently affect a whole host of clubs, one far more positively than others.

Injuries may have halted the Liverpool man’s progress, but there is no doubting his talent when he is fit and firing and West Brom could quickly pull clear of the drop zone with a player of Ings’ calibre in their team.

The same can be said of Newcastle, who are arguably one prolific forward away from being anything but relegation fodder.

Ings will want to go where he is guaranteed playing time, yet that should not be an issue given the sheer desperation of so many of the club’s interested in his signature – especially Newcastle and West Brom.

Whoever he chooses could be home and dry well before May. Whoever misses out could face a long hard battle until the very last kick of the campaign.
