Leeds may be a little disappointed to have lost, as they did have chances – particularly through Raphinha – but just came up short against Frank Lampard’s side.
Still, there was one moment of unbelievable quality, and that came with Kalvin Phillips finding Bamford for the opening goal.
The England international threaded a sensational pass through to Bamford, dissecting the Chelsea defence brilliantly.
Pundit Danny Higginbotham took to Twitter to rave about Phillips, suggesting that his pass for Bamford’s goal shows that he is getting better and better.
Higginbotham feels his passing range is right up with the very best, and it has been a feature of Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds for some time now.
