Tottenham Hotspur will take on Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth on Saturday.

Danny Higginbotham has claimed that the ‘special’ Tottenham ace Dele Alli is ‘suffering’ because Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son are in the side.
The Sky Sports pundit stated that the attacking-midfielder is struggling to play his own game whilst having the attacking duo in front of him, whereas when Harry Kane was in the side, he had more space in front of him to prove his worth.
England international Alli has been struggling with his form recently and that was showcased during his sides 1-0 defeat to Ajax in the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday.
Speaking to Match Centre on Sky Sports News (02/05/2019 at 11:40 am), Higginbotham explained why Alli’s game is not ticking as it should be.
“The way that Tottenham are playing at the moment with Son and Lucas Moura, they want to stretch the game,” Higginbotham told Match Centre. “Therefore, space then inevitably is between the midfield and defence.
“If that’s compact then it makes it more difficult for the likes of Dele Alli and the likes of Eriksen to get on the ball. And that becomes a problem. Whereas, when Kane is playing it is a lot different.

“He’s such a special player. But I believe really good players they understand how to play with each other in terms of their strengths and weaknesses [in regards to Kane and Alli partnership].
“Therefore, that’s why I think at times, you look at Alli and that’s why he’s probably suffering a little bit [without Kane] – He [Alli] has had however many years of being outstanding and he’s having a little bit of a blip now.”
Throughout his career, Alli has been known to make those late runs into the box and score vital goals for his team.
That has seemingly gone out of his game and he will be looking to prove his worth once again before the season draws to a close.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are yet to secure their top-four status and they will still be hopeful of booking their place in the Champions League final.
