Paul Lambert is set to take charge of his first Wolverhampton Wanderers match in two weekends’ time.
Danny Higginbotham has told Sky Sports News that Wolverhampton Wanderers new manager Paul Lambert has told him about how happy he is to be working at Molineux.
Lambert worked with Higginbotham on Sky Sports during the Scot’s time out of management.
And the pair have remained in contact, even though Lambert will be in the Sky Sports studio far less frequently now.

“I’ve swapped messages with him,” Higginbotham said. “He’s said very happy about it.
“When he was out of management, he was always going over to Germany and visiting Leipzig. He was at a point when he was ready to get back into management, but it had to be the right one.”
Lambert has taken over from Walter Zenga at Wolves, and he takes control of a side who are badly out of form.
Wolves have failed to win any of their last seven matches in the Championship, and they have slipped down to 19th place in the second tier standings.

As things stand Wolves are just three points away from the relegation zone, but Lambert has been appointed to take them up the table.
Wolves are nine points back from the play off spaces, meaning that they are already playing catch up in the race for promotion.
Lambert’s first match in charge of Wolves will come in two weekends’ time, against Preston North End at Deepdale.
