Sunderland are due to meet Hull City at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

Danny Higginbotham has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on 17th November, that he believes Sunderland will beat Hull City at the weekend.

Sunderland take on Hull at the Stadium of Light in a match which already looks likely to be decisive to both side’s seasons.

Sunderland are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table, while Hull are also stuck in the relegation zone after a terrible run of form.

And Higginbotham believes that the Tigers could suffer more misery at the weekend, as he believes David Moyes’ side will beat them.

“They can’t keep defending as deep as they were, so Anichebe could be key,” Higginbotham said. “It’s a massive game, and I do fancy Sunderland.”

Sunderland go into the match on the back of a victory against Bournemouth at Dean Court.

The Black Cats could move to within three points of safety, if they are able to beat Hull at the weekend.

Hull, meanwhile, would move eight points clear of Sunderland – if Mike Phelan’s side were to pick up a victory on Wearside.

Despite Sunderland’s poor start, it is believed that Sunderland boss David Moyes will not be sacked, even if the Black Cats do suffer a damaging defeat on Saturday.
