Leeds have made a strong start to the 2017-18 Championship campaign and are at the top of the league table at the moment.
The West Yorkshire outfit have picked up 17 points from seven games so far this campaign, a point more than second-placed Cardiff City.
Thomas Christiansen’s side have been arguably the best team to watch in the Championship so far this season and have played some wonderful football.
Leeds have been superb defensively, conceding just twice in seven league fixtures, and have scored as many 14 goals.
Former Southampton and Stoke City defender Higginbotham has picked two unsung heroes for Leeds so far this season – midfielders Eunan O’Kane, 27, and Kalvin Phillips, 21.
“The unsung heroes in the team so far are O’Kane and Phillips,” Higginbotham told Sky Sports. “Played every game together, they sit there and they protect the back-four.”
Leeds will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they take on Millwall away from home in the Championship.
