Arsenal secured a very ugly 1-0 win at Burnley on Sunday.
Danny Higginbotham has claimed to Sky Sports that he does not believe Arsenal will win the Premier League title this season.
The Gunners are certainly playing like potential champions at the moment as Arsene Wenger’s side beat Burnley 1-0 on Sunday for a fifth straight league win.
The winner came in the dying moments as Laurent Koscielny was credited with what was a controversial goal at Turf Moor, but the result was far more important on a weekend which also saw Tottenham and Liverpool both also win.
Arsenal are third in the Premier League standings, two points behind top-of-the-table Manchester City and ahead of fourth-placed Liverpool on goal difference.
But Wenger’s side are no strangers to excellent form at this stage of the campaign. It is at the business end of the season when the North Londoners begin to struggle, and have done for the past 12 years pretty much.
The pressure was on them in the first game of the season against Liverpool, where they lost 4-3 at the Emirates, and the ex-Stoke man does not see Arsenal ending their infamous Premier League title drought this season.
“I think it’s going to be very tough [for Arsenal to win the title],” he told Sky Sports.
“You’ve got to look at Manchester City and teams like that – they’re going to be the real test. We saw what happened when Arsenal played against Liverpool.”
