Leeds United are not in good form in the Championship at the moment.
Leeds United started the season strongly, and their performances and results were so good at one stage that it looked as though they will challenge for the automatic promotion places.
The West Yorkshire outfit were playing good football, scoring goals and defending well, and it seemed almost a certainty that they would finish in the top six of the Championship this season.
However, the Whites are in a bad run of form at the moment and are as low as 11th in the league table with 23 points from 16 matches.
Leeds have suffered six defeats in their last seven Championship matches, and things are looking bad for them.
Former Manchester United and Derby County defender Danny Higginbotham, who now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, has given his take on Leeds’s dip in form, suggesting that it is because due to a lack of continuity at the back.
“At the start of the season what they had they had the back-four and they had the defensive two,” Higginbotham told Sky Sports about Leeds.
“A lot of the times they would sit there and they got continuity within that, and I think they had a ridiculous amount of clean sheets.”
Leeds will face Middlesbrough at Elland Road in the Championship in a few hours’ time.
