The former West Ham United defender reckons the Scot’s arrival would benefit one Hammers player in particular.
Former West Ham United defender Danny Gabbidon has urged his old side to match Burnley’s alleged bid for Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass.
Hull look resigned to losing Snodgrass before next week’s deadline, having already signed a replacement in Liverpool loanee Lazar Markovic.
West Ham are said to be among several clubs keen on the Scotland international, however, as reported by the London Evening Standard on Monday, the Hammers’ latest bid is £4 million short of the Yorkshire side’s £10 million asking price.

According to widespread reports, Burnley have since met Hull’s demands and Gabbidon is keen for West Ham to follow suit.
The Welshman posted, quoting a tweet from Sky Sports:
With West Ham’s Dimitri Payet wanting to leave for Marseille this winter, Snodgrass could be the ideal replacement for the Frenchman, whom he has outscored by seven goals to two in the Premier League this season.
