Norwich City signed Sean Raggett this summer from Lincoln City.
Norwich City faced competition from West Ham and Sunderland, but in the end, they managed to sign Sean Raggett from Lincoln City this summer.
The Canaries activated his £350,000 release clause on his contract, and sealed the deal after promising to send the defender back on loan to Lincoln till January.
The 23-year-old got his head down with Lincoln and produced a man of the match performance in a 4-1 home win over Carlisle last week.
Lincoln boss, Danny Cowley, has spoken highly of the player, and he is convinced that the defender will become a top player in the future.
Raggett was an integral part of the Imps team that won the National League and reached the FA Cup sixth round last season.
Cowley has hailed the tall defender as an “outstanding” young player, who has made incredible progress over the past few years.
He also adds that Norwich are a great club and the move will benefit him.
“He’s an outstanding young player,” said Cowley, as quoted by the Norwich Evening News.
“If I look at the progress he’s made since he joined us just over a year ago, from part-time football into full-time football, he’s made incredible progress. He’s going to be a top player and not only have Norwich signed a top player but a top person as well, he’s a credit to himself and his family and we’re really proud of him here.”
Raggett said recently that when he spoke with Norwich, he got a positive vibe, as the Canaries had a clear plan for him.
