Danny Batth has been on the books at Wolverhampton Wanderers since he was 10 years old, so naturally fans have a certain affection towards him. The defender has built himself to become captain of the club and he’s now signed a new four-year contract. As reported by Express & Star, Batth has spoken about what Wolves means to him.

“It is hard to sum up my feelings about Wolves,” he said after signing his new deal.

“It is in my blood, it is my daily routine, it is everything that I know.

“Wolves is special to me and something I take very seriously.”

Batth won the Young Player of the Year Award back in 2010, and despite being at the club for over 16 years he’s never actually played in the Premier League.

“I also hope during my continued association with the club that we will obviously progress and we will reach the Premier League.”

The defender has been through it all with Wolves having seen the club’s decline into League One as well as being on the outside looking in when they twice made it to the top flight. As the season goes on, Zenga’s men are gathering more and more buzz around the media with people tipping them for a potential place in the top six.

Wolves will look to build on their momentum this weekend when they host Brentford at Molineux.
