The former Arsenal striker is expected to sign for Championship side Forest on Wednesday.

The Danish website Ekstra Bladet claims that Nicklas Bendtner has agreed to halve his previous salary to sign for Nottingham Forest.
Bendtner, a free agent since leaving Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg in April, will sign a two-year deal at the City Ground on Wednesday, according to the report, which also suggests the striker could be unveiled at a 12:30 (GMT) press conference alongside Mustapha Carayol.

And the 28-year-old, who played for Forest’s upcoming League Cup opponents Arsenal at the peak of his powers, will reportedly pick up around £25,000 a week on his return to English football.
Another Danish website, BT (via the Express), reports that Bendtner will sign a two-year deal with Philippe Montanier’s side.

Bendtner could make his Forest debut against Aston Villa at the weekend, almost a decade on from his last Championship appearance on loan to the Villans’ local rivals Birmingham City.

While under contract at the Emirates Stadium, Bendtner also spent time on loan at Sunderland and Italian giants Juventus.
