
Tottenham Hotspur summer signing Pierre Emile Hojbjerg has been praised by the Danish press for his display against England last night.
The Spurs man started in central midfield for his country yesterday, as the Danes won 1-0 at Wembley.
Hojbjerg broke up numerous England attacks and looked very comfortable up against the Three Lions.
And Ekstra Bladet spoke very positively of the Tottenham man after the game, suggesting that he is really learning the defensive midfield role now.
“Is finding the necessary tactical discipline for the role of defensive anchor,” the Danish media wrote, after awarding his display with a four out of five rating.
“Very strong in the duel and never afraid to play the ball forward.”
Hojbjerg’s showing keeps up the good form he has shown since moving to Spurs.

After a slow start, the former Southampton man has really grown into his role in Tottenham’s line-up and has looked a vital player in recent weeks.
Hojbjerg’s display against Manchester United before the international break was certainly his finest in a Tottenham shirt to date, as he helped them to a 6-1 victory at Old Trafford.
The midfield enforcer will almost definitely be in Mourinho’s side at the weekend, when they take on West Ham United.
