Barcelona want Porto’s Danilo Pereira – bad news for West Ham but potentially great for Spurs.

Andre Gomes’ ill-fated Barcelona career may have been over after just one year had they managed to seal the deal for Liverpool wizard Philippe Coutinho in the summer transfer window.
Though with Football Espana reporting that the La Liga leaders are keeping a close eye on Porto enforcer Danilo, you wonder whether Gomes could be rocking up in North London in the winter.

The report claims that Blaugrana sporting director Robert Fernandez was in attendance as Portugal beat Andorra 2-0 on Saturday with Danilo, who played the full 90 minutes off the World Cup qualifier, understood to be the reason for his trip.
And the midfielder, a deep lying player renowned for his ball-winning abilities, could free up Gomes to escape from the Camp Nou after playing just 28 minutes of league football under Ernesto Valverde this season.

Though this double deal could also have ramifications for West Ham. The Mirror reported in August that The Hammers were interested in Porto’s £31 million-rated Danilo after a deal for Portugal team-mate William Carvalho stalled.

With West Ham unable to bring Carvalho to the London Stadium, Slaven Bilic’s side are still in need of a defensive midfielder and Danilo could have come into their thinking again in January.
If the 26-year-old gets his big break at the Camp Nou, however, it would not only end West Ham’s chances but could also hand London rivals Tottenham a timely boost in their pursuit of the out-of-favour Gomes.
