Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has appeared to express his unhappiness at being used in a wide role by Jurgen Klopp, speaking to the Guardian.
The forward found himself playing in the right wing position last weekend as the Reds travelled to take on newly promoted Burnley at Turf Moor.
It proved to be a very disappointing afternoon for his side as they fell to a 2-0 defeat, with Sturridge struggling to make an impact in his new position.

He was in better form in midweek as he came off the bench to score twice in a 5-0 win over Burton Albion in the EFL Cup.
And now he has hit out at Klopp’s decision to play him out wide, indicating he is not happy to be played in that role.
“Of course it is more difficult for me to play wide. I’m a centre-forward,” he told the Guardian.
“Everyone knows where I enjoy playing the most. I have to do a job for the team. That’s not saying I am happy to do it.”

It will now be interesting to see how Klopp responds to these comments as it likely that they have not gone down well.
The German is determined to build a positive team atmosphere at Anfield in which players are willing to makes sacrifices for the good of the team.
One player not doing so threatens to unsettle that mentality he is trying to implement and these comments from Sturridge could leave his Liverpool future in doubt.
