Things are looking bleak for the long-term future of Daniel Sturridge at Liverpool. The England international is clearly not a Jurgen Klopp player and it is looking increasingly likely that his career could be better served by finding a move to another club.
He could obviously do a Christian Benteke and move down the league to remain in England.

But surely Sturridge should be thinking broader than that, with all due respect to Crystal Palace.
This is an England international with one of the best strike rates in the Premier League when fully fit. In his last full season he scored 26 goals in 37 games for club and country.

Sturridge should instead take a leaf out of his England team-mate Joe Hart’s book and look to move abroad.
Hart left Manchester City to join Torino on loan this summer and it is a move like this Sturridge should consider.
Playing abroad could afford him the chance to remain in Champions League action and to adapt and learn a new way of playing.

There would be teams across the continent scrambling to sign Sturridge as, on his day, the Liverpool striker is a lethal goal-machine.
Perhaps it is time he took it to the continent.
