Daniel Sturridge has raved about Liverpool striker Divock Origi on Sky Sports.
The former Liverpool striker, who is now a free agent, has outlined how hard Origi works.
The 30-year-old England international striker played with the 25-year-old Belgium international when he was at Anfield.
Sturridge told Sky Sports while discussing Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino: ”The numbers they are putting up, incredible.
“For myself, playing with them and seeing them train day in and day out, working their socks off on the pitch and performing at the highest level, you have to commend that.
“Likewise, for the other lads as well from the time I was there, not to mention Divock (Origi) as well who has been performing very well and has been working tirelessly to get his opportunities. There’s a lot of players that deserve credit.”

Liverpool spell
Origi has been on the books of Liverpool since 2014, and although there have been times when the 25-year-old has done well, he is essentially a squad player at the Merseyside outfit.
The striker was especially important in the Reds’ Champions League success in 2018-19, as he scored against Barcelona in the semi-finals and against Tottenham Hotspur in the final.
However, this past season, the Belgian struggled for much playing time, as competition for a place in the starting lineup is fierce.
According to WhoScored, Origi made seven starts and 21 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Jurgen Klopp’s side in 2019-20, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process.
The Belgian also made one start and five substitute appearance in the Champions League for Liverpool this past season, according to WhoScored.
