West Ham have shown interest in Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in the January transfer window.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is one of the in-demand players in the January transfer window. Sturridge has dropped down the pecking order at the club, and has struggled to get regular games under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds are in no hurry to sell him. With so many matches left to play, Klopp will not mind keeping him in the squad. But at the same time, Sturridge needs to move away from Anfield to boost his chances of playing in the World Cup for England.

West Ham and Southampton have shown an interest in him, but his £30 million price tag is proving to be too much for them.

According to a report from ESPN, West Ham are interested in signing him on loan. And therein lies an opportunity to strike a deal with the Reds.

The Mirror reports that Liverpool could be willing to send Sturridge on loan, provided they get a substantial loan fee.

West Ham should make an effort to strike a loan deal for the England striker, who has scored 48 goals in 98 Premier League games for the Reds.

With Andy Carroll’s future up in the air, he could be a good short-term replacement. One major problem the Hammers could face is agreeing to his wage demands, as he earns £150k-per-week.
