Daniel Pudil has hinted he is already in talks to join a new club after leaving Sheffield Wednesday.

Pudil was one of six Owls players released by Steve Bruce after last week’s season finale against QPR, bringing to an end his four years at Hillsborough.

But posting on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon, the Czech Republic international revealed: “I’m ready for a new challenge … Looking forward to sign for a new club. I will let you know where about I will carry on as soon as we will agree all the terms.”

Pudil was a regular as Sheffield Wednesday achieved back-to-back Championship play-off finishes in 2016 and 2017.

But despite having earned a year’s extension at the end of last season, the 33-year-old lost his place after Jos Luhukay’s departure as manager shortly before Christmas.

He is one of two senior centre-backs to have left Hillsborough this summer, along with the Owls’ player of the season, Michael Hector.
