Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Daniel Podence has told the Daily Mail that he now feels happy at Molineux after a difficult start.
Podence joined Wolves in January, leaving Olympiacos to become the latest Portuguese recruit for Nuno Espirito Santo.
The diminutive attacker had starred in Greece, racking up 13 goals and 14 assists in 68 games following a 2018 move from Sporting.
Podence struggled for consistent playing time at first, and had to make do with substitute appearances as Nuno stuck with a fairly settled side.
Podence had the pandemic-induced break to settle into life in Wolverhampton, and has come back ready to make an impact.
He was excellent in his first league start against Everton earlier this month, winning penalty in the 3-0 win before scoring against Crystal Palace.
Earlier in July, The Mirror claimed that Celtic have asked about taking Podence on loan for next season, just months after his £17million move.

Podence’s recent displays made that possible deal unlikely, and he has now spoken about his situation, with an exit seemingly the last thing on his mind.
Podence admitted that it was ‘difficult’ at first, because he didn’t have opportunities to play, but he is now enjoying himself at Wolves and he is settling into Wolverhampton, meaning a move to Scotland seems hard to imagine now.
“I arrived in a difficult moment,” said Podence. “After one month of being here the championship stopped so it was difficult for me because it takes time for a new player in a new team to understand everything. It was difficult because i didn’t have so much time to play.”
“Now things are going well and I have more game minutes to enjoy. Everything in the city, such as the restaurants and the supermarkets, is now opening and it’s much better for me than before,” he added.
