Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has praised the club’s fans following the dismissal of Antonio Conte as the head coach.

Levy has said that the Tottenham fans are “amazing” and “loyal” in a statement on the club’s official website.
Late on Sunday night, Tottenham announced the parting of ways with head coach Conte by “mutual agreement”.
Levy added: “We have 10 Premier League games remaining and we have a fight on our hands for a Champions League place. We all need to pull together. Everyone has to step up to ensure the highest possible finish for our Club and amazing, loyal supporters.”
Spurs fans deserve better
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur fans deserve better than what they have been getting in recent years.
Now, we know that Antonio Conte is a very good manager, but the football he played at Spurs, especially this season, was defensive and not at all appealing.
It must have been hard for Tottenham fans to watch that week in and week out.
Now, of course, Conte did take Spurs to the Premier League top four last season, and the Italian could have done the same this time around.
However, you also need to enjoy the football you are seeing out there on the pitch.
Tottenham are still very much in the running for the Premier League top four, and perhaps the players will now be motivating to get the job done in the final weeks and months of the season.
