Moussa Sissoko has had a dramatic turnaround at Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko is on his way to a dramatic turnaround in fortunes.

The France international has bounced back from being an unwanted figure at the end of last season, to a valuable squad player – even a starter.

Spurs were open to selling Sissoko in the summer but were unable to find a club close to meeting their asking price.

Given that they clearly overpaid for him in the first place, this is unsurprising.

ESPN reported Turkish side Trabzonspor made a loan enquiry for the midfielder – but Spurs were only willing to entertain permanent offers.

Sissoko is back in the Tottenham side, benefiting from injuries to Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele, and is beginning to flourish.

The Evening Standard report that Mauricio Pochettino even praised his recent form at his midweek press conference.

Sissoko’s developments this season should have chairman Daniel Levy rubbing his hands.

His form this season and potentially at the World Cup next summer could eventually see Spurs finally able to cash in and recoup as much as the £30 million they spent on him as they possibly can.

Sissoko’s form may not last, and Spurs could try to cash in on him while they are able to.
