Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been tracking the Roma ace.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has some serious work to do, if he is to guide his side back into contention for the Premier League title over the next few weeks and months.
Harry Kane and Lucas Moura are currently out injured, whilst Heung-Min Son will miss at least three games this month due to international commitments.
Spurs surely need to bring in another attacker this month, and with this in mind, Pochettino must ramp up his reported interest in Roma ace Cengiz Ünder.
According to a report from ESPN, Tottenham have been closely monitoring the 21-year-old over the past few months, but there are still yet to make a concrete move for the Turkey international.
ESPN claims that Roma value Ünder at around €50 million (£44.3 million), and whilst that would be an extortionate amount of money for Spurs to part with, now is the time for Daniel Levy to back his manager.
Tottenham will not have things all their own way, however, with Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Arsenal all thought to be interested in signing the winger.
Ünder is exceptionally gifted, and has the ability to go on and become a real star in the game.
He can play anywhere along the front-line, and would provide Pochettino with another top quality option in attack – something that the Argentine will be rather bereft of this month.
If Pochettino is backed financially by Levy this month, and allowed to bring the Roma ace to north London, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Tottenham.
