Tottenham Hotspur have an absolutely massive summer ahead of them, but it seems as though they’re going to get some vital work done early.
Indeed, reports suggest that Spurs may be about to fill two key roles with Antonio Conte seemingly on the verge of becoming their next manager and Fabio Paratici looking like becoming their new Director of Football.
The injection of Italians will create an unbelievable pairing at Tottenham. After all, the last time these two worked together they built a dynasty at Juventus that completely dominated Serie A for years.
However, the backroom team can only ever be as good as the players on the pitch, and it seems as though Spurs could bring in another big name from Italy who can take them to another level.
Romelu Lukaku is on Tottenham’s radar, and while he left the Premier League under something of a dark cloud, he remains one of the best strikers in Europe, winning the Serie A Golden Boot last season.
Lukaku works brilliantly in Conte’s system, guiding his Inter side to the Serie A title this term, while Paratici seemingly has the nous to build Conte a team that can compete at the very top level, having already done that at Juventus in the early 2010s.
Conte and Paratici will form a backroom team capable of leading a side to silverware, while Lukaku has proven this term he has what it takes to score the goals to take teams to unprecedented heights.
Tottenham haven’t won any major silverware for years, but given this trio’s track record, there’s every reason to believe there could be trophies coming to north London if Levy can unite this trio.
Lukaku, Conte and Paratici, if they’re all able to do their jobs to the best of their abilities, would be able to catapult Spurs to a whole new level.
