Tottenham Hotspur’s move into their new ground has been delayed.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has issued a statement on the club’s new stadium.
Spurs’ plan to move into the ground from next month has been delayed, due to safety reasons.
The match against Liverpool is being switched to Wembley, and there are possibilities of further games being moved too, including Champions League matches.
Chairman Levy issued a statement via the club’s official website.
He made a plea to fans for patience.
He said: “We know this will be disappointing for all our season tickets holders, premium members and our fans worldwide. We appreciate the support our partner the NFL has shown since the extent of this issue became evident today.
“At the start of the project we asked for your support during what we knew would be a complex and challenging build and now we ask for your continued patience and forbearance.”

Tottenham’s stadium will be the biggest in London when complete and it looks like being one of the best grounds in the country.
Despite this, plans to have it open so soon always seemed ambitious, and there has been a race against time to get it ready.
Having to push the opening date back is embarrassing for Spurs, but also unsurprising.
