Some Manchester United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation that Leeds United are in advanced talks to sign Daniel James.

What’s the story?

The Guardian have reported that Leeds are keen on signing James from Premier League rivals United before the summer transfer window closes tomorrow.

The West Yorkshire club are reportedly in advanced talks over bringing the Wales international winger to Elland Road.

Leeds are in talks with the Red Devils and with James over personal terms.

The Red Devils paid £15 million to Swansea City for the Wales international in 2019, and are likely to demand £20 million for him now.

Leeds actually wanted to sign James when he was at Swansea, but the deal collapsed.

What are Manchester United fans saying?

As you can see from the tweets below, United fans are open to selling James to Leeds before the summer transfer window closes tomorrow.

Well, some of them anyway.

While some fans are happy for James to join Leeds and advance his career, others want England international midfielder Kalvin Phillips to move to Old Trafford as part of the deal.

Now, that is not going to happen.

James has scored six goals in 50 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
