Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Daniel James that he is in his plans, amid interest from Leeds United and Leicester City, according to The Athletic.
What’s the story?
The Athletic are reporting this morning that Premier League giants United will not let James leave this summer.
United boss Solskjaer told the former Swansea City winger two weeks ago that despite interest in him from a number of clubs, he would not leave Old Trafford.
The 23-year-old is fully in the plans of the Red Devils.
Blow for Leeds and Leicester
This will come as a blow for both Leicester and Leeds.
The Athletic have claimed in the same report that Leicester made ‘a tentative enquiry’ about the youngster this summer, but the Foxes were told that James would not be sold.
The Sun reported on July 24 that Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa wants to sign James from Premier League rivals United in the summer transfer window.

Then on July 30, ESPN reported that United were willing to sell the winger at the right price.
However, it now appears that Solskjaer has the Wales international in his plans for this season.
James is a very talented and promising young winger, but with Jadon Sancho having joined United this summer, the winger will have to work even harder to play regularly.
