Reported Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur target target Daniel James has told The Daily Star that a decision on his future at Swansea City will be made soon.

According to The Daily Star, James was close to joining Leeds from Championship rivals Swansea in the January transfer window, but the deal fell through.

The report has also claimed that the West Yorkshire outfit remain interested in securing the services of the 21-year-old in the summer of 2019.

Wales Online has credited Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Bournemouth and Leicester City with interest in the Wales international – who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

James has said that a decision regarding a new contract at Swansea and his future will be made soon.

The youngster told The Daily Star: “It’s between my agent and the club and that’s something that will come out soon.”

Promising talent

James is a very talented and promising young attacking player and is one of the best in the Championship.

There is no doubt that the Wales international will be a success at Leeds or Tottenham should he make the move there.

So far this season, the 21-year-old has made 24 starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship for Swansea, scoring four goals and providing five assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
