The young Ibrox defender helped Graeme Murty’s Rangers Colts to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Challenge Cup this week.

The young Rangers defender Daniel Finlayson spoke highly of a senior Ibrox colleague during a Q & A session on Friday.
Finlayson was part of the Rangers Colts team that progressed to the quarter-finals of the Scottish Challenge Cup earlier this week.
The 18-year-old has played both right- and centre-back throughout his short career – much like Connor Goldson.
And asked which member of the Rangers first team he most looks up to, Finlayson unsurprisingly replied:
Rangers Colts are due to face Wrexham later this month after seeing off Solihull Moors in a penalty shootout.
Jamie Barjonas and Eros Grezda (two) scored Rangers’ goals in normal time.

Barjonas had earlier signed a one-year extension to his contract, keeping him at Ibrox until 2021 – the same summer in which Finlayson’s two-year deal is due to expire.
