We are now in 2026, and the rivalry between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier is still rumbling on.
This long-running feud, which began inside the UFC Octagon back in 2015, remains one of the sport’s most memorable. And even now, over a decade later, that competitive edge hasn’t gone away.
The latest development sees the two former champions named as opposing coaches on the Russian version of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’, a move that has surprised many fans.
Alf Reality made headlines last year by pairing Jones and Nate Diaz in their own ‘Ultimate Fighter’ style series, and they are aiming to build on that success with this new season.
Daniel Cormier wants to face Jon Jones one more time

Even though they will be appearing on the show together, there is no fight between the two planned at the end of the series.
But Cormier has something else in mind. Real American Freestyle Wrestling (RAF) has been getting plenty of attention lately thanks to some high-profile matchups.
Names like Yoel Romero, Arman Tsarukyan, and Henry Cejudo are all signed with RAF, and the promotion is helping bring renewed interest to wrestling in general.
Cormier is interested in facing Jones again, this time under RAF rules on their mats.
He said in a new video on his YouTube channel: “I’m telling you, Real American Freestyle Wrestling is gonna see me and Jon Jones at some point, and I’m gonna kick his a––, like you would never believe.
“Because guess what? I still shoot, I still train wrestlers every single day, so I don’t have a problem shooting,” ‘DC’ concluded.
Is there still a chance Jones and Cormier face off again?
Even though both men have stepped away from fighting, the sport has a way of pulling unexpected matchups out of nowhere.
And even though they are now 38 and 46, there is still a chance we could see them face each other again in some capacity.
