Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers won 2-0 against St. Mirren with Steven Gerrard’s side picking up an important three points.

Glasgow Rangers attacker Daniel Candeias must be desperate to impress Steven Gerrard, as he has told the Ibrox side’s boss something completely different to his teammate.
Candeias scored for Rangers against St. Mirren at the weekend, in slightly bizarre style.
The Portuguese winger lofted the ball in from the top of the box, and there was some debate over whether he meant the goal or not.
Candeias told Gerrard that the strike was fully intentional and a shot.
“According to Daniel he meant it. I’ve been in the game a long time and haven’t seen anyone score one of those, not on purpose anyway,” Gerrard said to Sky Sports.
But Candeias had a completely different story to tell his Rangers teammate Ovie Ejaria.

Ejaria said to the Daily Record: “Daniel said it was a cross for his opener but we’ll take that and then Alfredo finished really well from a tight angle.”
Rangers needed Candeias goal to get past St. Mirren, as it appeared they were heading towards a draw.
Rangers had struggled to unlock the door, but went on to win 2-0 and pick up an important victory.
Rangers are currently in third place in the Scottish Premiership table, with their next match coming against Spartak Moscow on Thursday evening.
