Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers signed James Tavernier up to a new deal this week.

Daniel Candeias has congratulaed James Tavernier after signing a contract extension with Rangers.
The 26-year-old has put pen to paper on a new deal which will keep him at Ibrox until 2021.
Tavernier has arguably been Rangers’ most consistent and most impressive player this season and it’s a huge boost for supporters – especially after speculation about his future in January.

Sunderland were rumoured to be interested in the right-back, who was signed by Mark Warburton in 2015, but his latest extension is a big indication of his future plans and Gers supporters are delighted.
Tavernier took to Twitter to celebrate the news on Wednesday, and team-mate Candeias was among those who offered his congratulations.

The emphasis now will be getting Josh Windass signed up to a new contract.
Like Tavernier, the Englishman has been brilliant this season – especially since Graeme Murty took over from Pedro Caixinha, with 11 of his 12 goals this season coming under Murty.
The former Accrington man is contracted to 2020, but there is bound to be speculation over his future this summer and another extension would make the future look very bright for Rangers.
